I fought Shelob valiantly like Sam Gamgee did in the tunnels of Mordor. In the shade of the screenhouse roof, I bravely armed myself with a broom, lunging and parrying throughout my attack. A hard fight to Shelob’s demise, I victoriously saved my princess still clutching our chalices of gin and tonics.

Messaging thoughts of memories
Outdoor sounds
Locked deep within mind
Sounds now muted with aged ears
Diminished hearing fading away
Muted jumbled sounds
Remembering sounds by
Visual presence
Are outdoor sounds real
Or just memories
Memories of sound
Alone
In silent thought
Deep in silent mindful presence
